About the SMAM Scheme

The SMAM scheme is implemented across all Indian states, with a mission to increase the farm power ratio to 2.5 kW per hectare. It provides financial assistance to farmers and promotes the use of farm machinery, offering a subsidy between 50% to 80% to help make equipment affordable.

Priority given to economically weaker farmers and those who have not availed benefits from other central schemes.
